MY PHOTOGRAPHY STORY
My introduction to photography started as a young girl watching my father, an avid amateur photographer and videographer, chronicle our lives. One of the things that fascinated me was when I watched him do trick photography and other optical illusions.
As an adult, my love for photography spawned out of curiosity from my childhood memories and an outlet as a military wife of a Major, when my husband was deployed on active duty. With my children's extra-curricular activities, I wanted to capture high quality photos of their cheer, basketball, ballet, gymnastics, school and other life events/milestones. Whew!
Additionally, I am a certified event planner and had networked with many vendors in the hospitality/entertainment industry. Soon my family and friends were contacting me for events and photography services. When the requests for photo sessions became consistent, I decided to pursue my passion and launch "Pretty Girl Floyd Photography", paying homage to my late father, who was affectionately known as Pretty Boy Floyd among his peers.
My goal is to assist you in capturing special and memorable moments that you will cherish for years to come, with patience, skill and creativity. I hope you share in my "philocaly" - the love of everything beautiful, on this journey with me.
